Samurai History Tour

Kanazawa’s history is one of clashing swords, deft political maneuvers, and careful cultivation of the arts and commerce. Coming to prominence during the turbulent Warring States Period, the wealthy Maeda Clan gained control of the Kaga domain (present day Ishikawa) and ruled in relative peace and prosperity for nearly 300 years. Explore Kanazawa’s historic sights with a local guide and walk in the footsteps of merchants, artisans, geishas, and samurai.
